From archeology to design ... to the discovery of anacleto spazzapan

Our specials

Born in Luino in 1945, in recent years the designer and artist Anacleto Spazzapan has revolutionized his life as a craftsman, designer and trader thanks to the discovery in Java, Indonesia, of an archaeological site reported by himself to the local authorities. To allow two unused welders in the area to have a job, the designer began to take care of furnishing objects, facing a personal challenge: being able to produce prototypes for everyday use with a rather hostile material, the iron rod.
Spazzapan thus defines the ideal object:

"What I can produce in a few minutes, with a single piece of a single material that weighs zero, that has no volume, with a construction without cost, and that has no equal and is comfortable and beautiful."

So they take life of real works of art, which even if at first glance may seem light and delicate, on the contrary are absolutely resistant, extremely functional and definitely in step with the times, characterized by originality, creativity, as well as for uniqueness .
At the base of each of his projects there is a concrete and mathematical approach. In fact, his projects are based on the same logic used in mathematics, keeping in mind the concept of logic and mathematical progression; the fulcrum always remains the very function of an object, embellished and lightened by a more frivolous aspect.
His style can be easily described as a personal style without frills, which does not present any external influence because, according to the artist-designer, there is no im-possible object to be realized, thanks - precisely - to the mathematical approach of its design. For this reason, what really matters is the profound knowledge of materials, their resistance and reaction during processing. Fundamental aspect even more than the ability in design or computer skills, but that must be added to another fundamental gift: stubbornness.
Unique, colorful and extravagant shapes that await you at the SpazioTID showroom, in via Monte Pordoi, 8 in Baranzate, a stone's throw from Milan.
