Mietta, the table of alessandra ziccolella that tells the story of the venice lagoon

Exposed and on sale at the TID-The Interior Design Showroom, in via Pordoi 8 in Baranzate, the traditional table with one top and four orthogonal legs is deconstructed and reworked into shapes and hierarchies. It's a masterpiece. Unique and totally different from the usual proposal of design tables: it's called MIETTA. It was conceived and created by Alessandra Ziccolella, graduated in 'Interior Design and Architecture' at 'LaSapienza' in Rome, specialized, later in Bari in Visual Merchandising and in Milan in Entertainment Design. Since 2009 he has collaborated with architectural design studios in Italy and has lived two years in Lyon. A furnishing design and architectural design has combined a great passion for painting, photography and sartorial recovery. Each of his projects stems from a need and preserves an emotion: Alessandra's task is to transform it into matter, so projects come to life from an element, a volume or a shape, which is then deconstructed through the use of lines to cut , dissect and finally recreate. The central element is made of iron, is definitely sculptural and is top and support of the entire product, but the real highlight are the wooden tables of Briccola, "leaned" on the structure, to highlight its thickness; they retain the charm of the Venetian lagoon in which they have lived for decades, and the ten-year work of the teredini, marine molluscs. Alessandra describes the idea that she then turned into reality: "One day I thought of you while you were eating.That day I saw my fingers tapping on the table to keep the rhythm of your favorite song.I saw my legs overlap and my arms spread out to grasp, there were your eyes, focused as you read and the downed coat waiting. " Here is the magic of a product that in addition to the spectacular, scenic and totally new design, tells a story through the material: that of Venice and its wet past. That of Alessandra Ziccolella is a passion that led her to found her own brand, A.zetaDESIGN, a small reality that is making space in the design world and that is characterized by a production based on natural materials and " recovered.
