His works are born as experiments, like games with matter.
Judith Byberg was born in 1963 in Roskilde, Denmark. In 1976 he moved to Italy and graduated from high school. He continued his studies at the Politecnico di Milano where he graduated in architecture in 1989. Since 2011 he started working with felt and other natural materials.
His work goes through different sectors, while maintaining a uniformity of intent and language. The shapes are soft and organic. The bright colors, the obvious material. Design with your mind and at the same time run with your own hands: many of your designs are self-produced, according to the best Scandinavian tradition. Each object is a small invention, it is substance before it forms, and therefore destined to last in time. Without light we can not perceive space; But, while natural light can only partially control it, much more can be done in managing artificial light, just think how long we live our lamps lit by homes.
Light can therefore positively influence and energize the environments of all homes, light can increase depth or give space and sight to any closed place, and can also adapt to the activities that take place here: eating , Studying, conversing, working, resting.
Space is therefore manipulable and adaptable to our needs, lighting is definitely one of the most powerful tools to achieve this. In the interiors studied and enriched by Judith there are different shapes and styles, but they all have one very important thing: they are homes full of daily reality, cozy atmospheres where it is pleasant and comfortable to live, there are dozens of simple inventions that reuse, Change, optimize space with naturalness.
Use wood, Bergshaf wool, which works manually for a long time. Then it adds light spots and materials that fit well, for example the rusty iron thread that binds hay bales, palm leaves ribs, cardboard packagings, and anything that can fit the product, but also the taste of those who You want it.
"This way it becomes a unique, personalized piece, capable of collecting the heat, smell and all the imperfections typical of natural things," what do we want more?
