Porto cervo is the most recommended luxury city in italy by real estate operators

Our specials

After 25 weeks of hard struggle, the contest proposed by Luxforsale on LinkedIn and aimed at real estate operators has ended: Porto Cervo wins a very tight final!

More than 3,000 real estate operators from all over Italy (and beyond) involved, 25 weeks of battle and only one winner: Porto Cervo. We could summarize in these data the contest launched by Luxforsale and entitled "Where would you buy or would you recommend to buy a luxury property!", But it would be absolutely reductive given the information we have collected and which can affect the whole world of Real Estate! Here, then, is an in-depth analysis!

Final: Porto Cervo and…?
Let's start from the end: Porto Cervo has secured the city palm most desired and recommended by real estate operators. But with which location did he fight the grand final? Dry answer: Capri. The two renowned pearls of Italian tourism first easily overtook the challengers in the semifinals and then battled up to the last percentage point in the final challenge. The result decreed the victory of Porto Cervo with 56%.

Lombard semifinalists
If the charm of the sea led two of the most famous Italian tourist resorts in the world to the final, the surprise came from the other two semifinalists: Como and Milan. On closer inspection, both cities have prerogatives that make them extremely attractive in terms of real estate, but probably some insiders would not have expected such a clear climb of the two Lombard centers towards the top 4 positions.
Certainly, however, for Luxforsale it was not a surprise at all. As we had already amply highlighted in our 2022 Observatory, Milan and Como are among the 10 Italian cities most sought after by users who are interested in luxury properties, with Milan even in third position and Como in eighth.

Many surprises also in the quarter-finals
The surprise on the four semi-finalists is even expanded if we analyze in detail the locations that each of them eliminated in the quarter-finals. Milan, for example, got rid of Ponza, Sorrento and Courmayeur, while Como overtook Desenzano, Siena and Madonna di Campiglio with the last vote.
On the other hand, the route of the beloved Porto Cervo and Capri is more agile. The Sardinian town has overtaken, obtaining 43% of the votes, Amalfi, Florence and Pietrasanta, while the jewel on the Gulf of Naples has swept the competition with Trieste, Villasimius and Porto Rotondo, earning 63% of the votes.
